Cool themes but could you make the pro free? How are they supposed to make money then? If they don't charge, we don't get great new upgrades and features. And if you actually look at what's on offer here in comparison with similar sites, including features, ease of use and great support vs cost - you will find that you are getting the best product and the best deal around. I'm with Julie on this one, for the most part :) Weebly's really the best platform around as far as ease of use, abundance of offerings, continuous improvement in features for both newbies and more-experienced site builders, and for exceptional overall value. I am, however, interested in what will be included in the Starter tier, which was mentioned in the original price-change blog post in December and is supposed to compare to the current (pre-price change) Pro tier in terms of price and features. I'd hate to see Weebly's new price plan be one that ends up being cost prohibitive to many; I think that one of the best things about Weebly is its exceptional value, and that usually brings on the volume of customers that keeps such a pricing model viable and profitable (keep in mind the value of word-of-mouth advertising by thrilled customers, too!). Once a well-loved product/service becomes cost prohibitive to a percentage of potential and current customers, those prospects/customers may fall away, turn elsewhere, and no longer recommend the product/service to others. Weebly needs to, and should, profit nicely for all the risk and investments of time, money, creativity, etc. that its people have poured into it for years and for the growth and sustainability of its future. I'm routing for them to continue striking that win/win balance :) yep, Julie is clearly right, not only with her comparison to other offers eg Joombla etc, but also responsive if you need support. After all, space is quasi unlimited, you don't need to be a geek to get quite a good "buzz-card" out of it. This year I will definitely go for the "pro" version and this simply because I never have have any brake-down or other disturbances of the site. The "pro" version will then be a good place to lance my archive by being in full control of the content not like other photographer sites that can be purchased and go into the black hole of the "vultures" turning everything into commodities. It is free to use. You can build a complete site and as many sites as you want for free. But you can upgrade to get even more features for a small fee. But you don't have to to build site and put them online Amy 01/31/2013 6:55pm
It's worth the $$ and it's not that much considering they've done a lot of the work we didn't know how to do in the first place without them. Weebly is worth sticking with & their designer support is excellent :) Truly, I've not found a more exceptional value than Weebly, all around. Lynne, you can customize a footer of sorts by dropping a Columns element to the bottom of your page and adding lines of your own information: site map with links, copyright notice, official site/company name and contact info., etc. You can design it with different font sizes, styles and colors to distinguish it from the rest of the content. When you're finished, simply use the little green arc/arrow in the upper left-hand corner of your new section to "copy" that footer to every other page (just be aware that when you copy or move a section to another page, it lands at the top of that new page and you have to drag it to the location you prefer). The small default Weebly footer will still exist below that, but that's a small price to pay for such a great free service, right? Corinne 01/18/2013 1:31am

can someone please tell me how to keep the search box from giving results that are files--.pdf and mp3's? It is showing files that are supposed to be paid for and letting people access them. I only want it to search the allowed pages. Weebly is not responding to my "emergency" request. In the meantime, people can access files that are supposed to be private and/or paid for. I love, love, love the new themes!! I also love that you are constantly adding more on a regular basis. You understand that people get bored with the same old ones and then start looking at other website companies for the latest hot themes. You are always ahead of the pack. Please stay proactive with the new themes and features and we will never leave you. I am a loyal person and would just love to stay with you forever. As a romance author I always find it hard to find something that is dark and sexy (I write paranormal romance). I wish you had more backgrounds along that line. I recently asked if Weebly could possibly add an subscribe by email newsletter feature. I haven't seen any attempts of this yet. A newsletter is already provided with websites, which is a great feature and I love it. All I am asking is that you could ad a subscribe by email feature to the newsletter, so that people reading the newsletter could subscribe by email and receive emails of new posts, comments, etc. I run two newsletter / blogs from Word Press and they offer the email subscription feature, as well as my Google Blogger account. I can currently allow people to follow my newsletter that I have built with Weebly, but only using RSS Feed. RSS Feed follow is great and gets followed by some, but half of the people reading newsletters or blogs, would rather follow by email, so that new posts, comments, or news goes directly into their inbox. They can also unsubscribe if they no longer wish to follow, but that is the one thing that would significantly improve the Weebly website builder in my opinion. Otherwise, besides that one feature missing, I thoroughly enjoy Weebly. Thanks so much for listening to my feedback. 02/03/2013 4:01pm

I'd like to try the new page templates but last time I switched, I lost all my images and had to replace them all. Makes me very hesitant to try a new template.... I just noticed that the section of Weebly that allows customers to vote on new updates (http://www.weebly.com/weebly/feature_request.php) has not been updated in a long time. Many of the features that have been completed have not been moved to the "Completed" section. There should also be a way for the votes to be removed once the project is completed and for the voters to be notified. Weebly should have a lot more communication with their customers and find better ways to encourage them to participate in improving Weebly! 02/09/2013 1:40am

As a businessman, I find that keeping a blog helps out our company in that I can constantly share my ideas and insights to our readers and with a new look i can attract more readers.
