A New Linker

While we spend a lot of time focusing on major improvements, we also make sure to keep an eye on the little things you use over and over. We just recently released updates to the Linker that will help you create links faster and easier.
We've reduced the number of clicks it takes to add a link, from four to one. You can now instantly start typing a website, and then just hit "enter". That might not sound like much, but when you repeat the process a hundred times, it makes life a whole lot easier.

Even better, you can now search to find Pages or Files you've uploaded. If you're a power user, this is also a huge time saver.

Enjoy these new changes. We're gearing up for a bigger release next week, but wanted to give you something in the meantime while you wait!

Great update! Unfortunately, the "Change" feature for existing links does not work anymore. The "Remove" and "Go to" links do work, however.

I've been enjoying the new "link to" very much - we add/change links every week and it's great having this much smoother interface. You're right - the little things can make a big difference. Thanks Weebly!

But I'm a bit confused. This post was done last night, but the linker change was made a couple of weeks back, at least.

I logged on to maintain my site this morning, and got a message about new features having been implemented, but can't find any info on what they are.

think you need to look at the timeliness of your communications.

The new link box has only now started working efficiently. When it was first updated it took an eternity to appear.

The presentation of the Link box is still lacking. For instance, the Link to Your Pages box is not that good if you have a longer title than the box and does not show the sub-page break down effectively making its presentation messy for websites with many pages.

It's great if your got a 5 page website selling cupcakes but if your a power user of Weebly and doing anything more complicated and you have had it.

If you could present the Link to Your Pages with the same quality of presentation as when you save a Banner Heading to multiple pages - that would be more practical and user friendly.

The best designed box by far is when you save your Banner Heading to different pages. This is an example of a well designed box - neatly presented and PRACTICAL.

The nightmare boxes are the MOVE TO/COPY TO box. The box is to VERY SMALL, to impractical, to outdated. I shudder everytime I have to use it.

Hopefully the new update coming out will tackle the nightmare Copy To/Move To box.

The Weebly design team are doing well. My respects to you all, even more if you tackle that Link to Your Pages and the nightmare box.

I'm guessing that new features will be added, I think it is a great time to be using Weebly right now. And secondly, the linking works fine for me, hopefully, please let us have even more reign over our sites. Like, easy HTML or, iOS style windows when highlighting links and such. Google does this all the time. So. Why not?

Somehow need to stabilize the font colors on linked text. I find them changing without any changes being made on my end. Particularly troublesome when it goes black against a black background.

BUT I have been excited logging on every other day or so to see if any new templates are out.... AND I'm pretty sure that has something to do with the next big new release...

Its is very helpful feature indeed. Previously I was so tired while linking something.It is also now compatible with all kind of browsers like Chrome, Firefox 4, Firefox 5 opera etc.

I like the new update--thank you. What doesn't seem to be working for me is the option to have a page on the same site open in a new window. (I can get a link to a different site to open in a new window, but not one on the same site.) If you could fix that, I would be eternally grateful!

Weebly I've tried your updates to my weebly site. Nice update. But when will the new templates coming it's been a long time since you update that demand. And also will their be an updates for the other most requested features in weebly?

Great to hear of the link function change.very useful.
Keeping my fingers crossed that some of the new / updates include a design that has less head room on the banner and choice of colors - then we can achieve more page space displayed without scrolling down. For XMAS I would love - yes love an interactive form option. Last, your support team while I am here -exceptional!! They have held my hand many a time.........

Hey guys! I love saving mouse clicks! woo! Hey, also, a thought came up today as I am adding new editors to my blog to keep it updated and strong. Is there a way to have an option so editors can add items to a page, but not necessarily delete anything previous to their session? I would love to be able to trust everyone I add as an editor, but you never know.

I love the new link options. It makes it so easy to use. I recommend Weebly to anyone that needs a site. I see all these other formats and I have tried them but none work as well as WEEBLY and for the price. Thanks and keep adding new tools.

I think this is a nice innovation. I have been using it now for quite some while even before this post was made. And I must say it really makes life much easier. Even though I think weebly still has a lot to improve on the linker and it does not function all that well.

Help! With the new linker, I'm no longer able to upload a PDF and have it open in a new window.

I want my visitors to be able to stay on the webpage and open PDFs in a new window, so I don't lose them. Could you please restore this feature?

Thank you for upgrading to a Link box.

However, why can I link to everything in the Link box, but I can't use the MOVE TO/COPY TO box for the same pages?

In particular, internal blogs using Weebly are not listed in the MOVE TO/COPY TO box. However, external blogs are listed there. You'd think the same pages would be listed in both places.
