Weebly just got faster! 

For the last couple weeks we've been putting the polish on our text editor to give you a smoother experience. Before, editing text could sometimes be a bit buggy. If you pasted text from Microsoft Word, the formatting would sometimes be different than the rest of your site, and removing a link could be difficult.

We heard your feedback and just released the following updates
  • Single click, smooth editing. Entering and exiting text edit mode is now seamless.
  • Click on a link to see where it's pointing, and remove the link with one click.
Picture
  • Text pasted from Word is automatically matched to your theme's defaults.
  • A remove formatting option for when you want to remove font size & color settings.
Picture
  • When creating a link to a file, you see an option to upload a new file.
    (before you could only select from the files you uploaded using the file element)
  • Hide your site from search engines using the option under the "Settings" tab.

And finally, we also released 6 new themes we hope you'll enjoy

Great Work Weebly. I have been using my new site with my students and they have found it very useful.
It is now much easier to provide them with additional support and share materials with them.

Thanks for the smoothing out of the sometimes clunky text editing. got a little frustrating a times but at theseprices who's complaining.

Thinki i;m gonna give one of those new templates a go for another site i'm working on at the moment.

ps www.GuestsMartialArts.com.au is on the first page of google for my search terms and it was all done with Weebly:-)

Love to see a whole new flash gallery and maybe an option to have an intro flash/regular intro incorporated on this website.

This is great. Maybe next we can get updates on the blogging function. I'd like to see the comments without having to click on each individual post and maybe even link to facebook or gravatar so that people can log in and comment. :)

I don't want to hide my whole site - but I do want to hide certain pages. Is it possible to have some sort of check box or radio button to accomplish this in the "Pages" tab (like the password option)?

I'd also like the ability to insert a picture at full-size. Not in a gallery, but when I create graphics to design my pages, I'd like them to be at the size they were designed for.

Also, can we get the ability to assign a picture to flush to the top or bottom? It's a pain to try and get a picture to be at the bottom of a page.

This is awesome, as usual. I am looking forward to the upcoming releases.

At this point, now that site is solidly up and I have clients, what I would REALLY like to see is better security around: passwords (the way they're so easily mailed to an email), website transfer issues, login (the way password could just too easily be changed), etc.

Been trying the new paragraph and it mostly works great, but whenever you edit a paragraph not flush left it makes it look like it changes it to flush left. From what I can tell, it doesn't, but you can't tell until you leave the page and come back to it.

Woah , Weebly is so awesome, so easy to use, thanks a lot.

I tried simplesite.com, it says there is no advertising after you pay, but they still leave their advertising on your website, dam liars. It doesn't have ecommerce, so weebly is heaps better.

Here is what I made, it for selling handmade goods like purses, wallets and rings in Australia, but we can post items overseas

For the past 2 days, when I go to past text in my blog, the text has been ending up positioned above the blog heading (at the very top of the page) instead of in the appropriate text box. Anything that can be done about this except closing the page and starting over? Very time consuming!

The reason why I chose weebly in purchasing my 2 sites (1 upcoming to be published) is the very handy visual editor that comes for someone like me who has a very limited knowledge at HTML and CSS. There should be two-column element that should be provided in a blog template for non-designer bloggers to embed other affiliate links in case the blog is for business.

Yes, I love the new themes, and like Marketmake said, Weebly Pro was worth the money.

With the Remove Formatting Button I can give my site a much cleaner, simpler look!

Ever since this upgrade, I have not been able to edit my subpages. I reduced the screen size to 50% to see what the hell was going on and for some reason, they are showing so far over on the right, I cannot even get them. Please fix this bug. Other than that, I do agree with everyone else. The text editing is much better....if you can do it.

Much simpler, indeed, but there's now a problem with the copy paste function. Now when I paste words written previously in a text square, into another square, it appears a "_" symbol, instead of words. I hope you can mend this.

When I am editing text far down on my page the site resets my view to the top of the page of text so that I have to scroll down again to get to where I need to edit. Makes it hard to work, very time consuming. Do you know what is going on?

I' going to look stupid since I posted a praise comment earlier, but...

I'm love everything except one feature... Which makes me wish it didn't change.

I have to post links on multiple pages(I have a show date organizer), and now that it doesn't paste the links and pre-formatted size with it I have to completely work from scratch. Paste in each link, and re-do the sizing.

It's actually THE only thing weebly has done to effect me for the worse. I hope, and suspect this will be fixed in some way.

It pains me to say anything bad about weebly, but I don't know how I'm going to run my site now...

This is an amazing tool for creating professional looking web sites for the average client. Took me all of a few minutes to decide to buy the upgrade to a professional account. The only downer Ii have noticed is poor coding support for latin characters making it a pain to offer web sites to my French clients.

Thanks, Weebly! I have been watching you since at least 2007. At that time, I thought, what a great idea, but still needs more features to make it really helpful. You all have come light years ahead. Thank you for constantly improving and for responding to my support questions in a timely manner.

I have a couple of websites still on Microsoft Office Live, and for the last 3 years, I haven't really seen any improvements. Weebly is a always getting better, even though they are already the best!

I really like Weebly - but have struggled a bit with the new text editor. Seems like it doesn't assume my existing font, and a few times when editing in the middle or bottom of text, the top part of the text gets really really small and I can't get it back. Any one else having this problem?

You made fantastic nice points here. I performed a search on the issue and discovered almost all peoples will agree with your blog. There are plenty of online shops that sell cheap electronic gadgets that work perfectly well and last just as long as something from a well-known manufacturer.

The new feature that we are LOVING is the change to the "delete element" - the way that the page shows a preview of how it will display with the element deleted is a big help - great work Weebly - thank you!!

Alas, I found yours...It's so great to have at least a website for my line of work where I can publish my artworks. I'm new here in weebly, but i find it great to used. I had a hard time making my own website in some other site but jn weebly i can do it that easy...Home to surf some more to make my site like a pro.

It's great still some features such as tables and more professional looking themes are welcome, settings for page size(fit to screen) would be a nice thing

I'm one of the Great Unskilled, but Weebly is so quick and easy these days, I can update my set of audio narration samples daily if I need to. And the site looks great, even on a 50 inch plasma! Nice job.
