Announcing New Form Building Features! 12/24/2009
Just in time for Christmas, we have a holiday gift for you! We've just released new form building features that let you completely customize and build new forms, including contact forms, RSVP forms, surveys, or anything else you can dream up!  You'll see a new category under "More" called "Forms". Here, we've added a Contact Form, RSVP Form and Survey Form. Once you've added one of these forms to your page, click it to start customizing it. Once you click on the form, you'll notice that the rest of the page fades away, letting you focus on the form you're working on.  The elements bar now contains the form fields that you can add to your form, including short and large text areas, option buttons, a dropdown box, checkboxes, a name field, an email field, an address field and a phone number field. You can add these fields to your form by dragging them on to the page.  There are several advanced options you can set, such as modifying the confirmation message a user sees after submitting a form, setting a special confirmation page, modifying the field instructions (a little box shown with instructions when the field is selected) and setting a field as required or not. You can also download the form entries as a .csv file, or view them right from within Weebly.  When you're done, publish your site! Your visitors will be able to fill out the form created, and their entries will be emailed to you and stored in Weebly to view and download later! We're still a small team, but we're working hard day and night to improve Weebly for you and help make creating a website fun, fast, easy, and free. Thank you Weebly for providing this amazing feature. Of cause it cannot be as detailed as Wufoo, JotForm, FormSpring and Icebrrg, but it's surely a step in the right direction. If I'm permitted to give a little constructive feedback here, I would like to mention, that from my (Scandinavian) point of view, the pre formatted field types for Name, Address, Phone number and such seems a little "Americanized" in their layout and the little labels are in English only, I think. But hey, one can always use the small-text field for custom fields, so it's cool. If you plan to extend the feature based on feedback, I could wish for a date picker (remember different date formats) and an upload field for attachments (of cause this will complicate things regarding virus and file upload storage). 12/26/2009 5:24am

I would like the option to hide the last name in the field and make it so you don't have to enter your last name, and to be able to make the confirmation message bold, or a different color. This is great!! However, I would have to agree with Quintin about CAPTCHA. It woudl be great to have CAPTCHA as an option when creating forms. 12/28/2009 11:32am

Dear Weebly Team, I love the ability to customize a form but I have noticed when getting replys that I dont see all the form fields even though I put data in them...for instance I have 10 form fields on my website but I only get 5-6 of them filled in with data when it gets emailed to me even though I filled in all 10.....anyone else had an issue like this?... YourBored: The new form feature is available to both free and paid Weebly accounts! Pro subscribers have the ability to add more custom fields but free accounts can use the form as well. 12/31/2009 8:09am
thanks guys, i checked out the new features and i love it. Keep em coming and you will at least have one permanent customer!!! Just wanted to let you know that Weebly is a real blessing. My church choir uses Weebly as a way to share info and keep in touch. In this tough economy, you've been such a great help to many churches, non-profits and small businesses. Once again,I am impressed with your work, Weebly.it never failsto impress me.I was updating my site, and found the survey. It gives me a great idea of what kind of people are visiting my site. One of the reasons I love weebly is that it is just so easy to do! No matter how long or short of a website I want,It is always ready to work for me. This isthe first time I have actually ventured to thisparrt of Weebly-----Beforethe only part I knew and visited was the actual "create a website part". That ios another thing I like. YOur website is not just a thing to create websites, it has otoher parts that people can explore. The only thing is that it is slow at loading sometimes, but with all the other good things that is notmuch to complain about. Hi Weebly team, the new contact form is great. Is there any chance you may consider adding an option for visitors to attach a document when they complete the contact form? I think the new contact form looks great, however am having issues with it. After editing and setting up all fields. when published I am unable to enter any text into the name, email, small text fields and can only use a drop down box and enter text into the large comment field. Thereby leaving the form unable to send as all fields are required. Please help. 02/02/2010 7:15am
