New Release: Major speed improvements 07/08/2009
We've released quite a few features in the past couple months, so we decided to spend the last couple weeks completely focused on improving the speed and function of the editor. As you can tell, this is a huge improvement, and we're excited to be able to roll it out live tonight. We've made quite a few other incremental changes, such as improved design for certain parts of the editor, as well as a significant number of bug fixes and other improvements. We also had quietly pushed some changes over the last month, such as bulleted and numbered list support, a "Read more" break element that lets you control the length of your blog posts' previews, the ability to add image captions and edit the image's ALT tags, the ability to choose a blog post's "permalink", and that your blog will now recognize and highlight comments made by you when you are logged in. Even better, there are a few exciting things coming up that we will be able to release soon, so stay tuned! Thanks again for using Weebly -- we appreciate your support and come to work every day excited to continue making Weebly the fastest, simplest and most powerful way to create a website for you. Join the affiliate program and get business to use weebly and buy a domain name. This is good support for them. I have earned weebly over 1000 dollars in sales and I'm sure you guys can all do the same as well. Have goodies and make money!!!!!! It would be nice if I could use some of my affiliate money as credits for services.

Like the recent editor changes (although in the case of picture labels they are not 'grandfathered' making it necessary to reload the image to get the area to type in.

Well, I have to say, I attempted to edit my site today, 7/16/09, and all it did was load, and load, and load. It wouldn't let me edit at all. If this is faster, then it doesn't work for me. Weebly worked fine before. Now it's seriously lagging.

Hi there, please don't feel obligated to publish this --I like you guys very much and know your hearts are in the right place --feel a bit bad being "the negative voice" here, but I have to tell you that for me, this site seems to have get slower and slower. I constantly have the "Ooops" screen come up after waiting for a simple window change, and just getting into my own site seems to take forever. I often have to close out and start all over again becasue nothing happens after waiting several minutes.

Hi, your speed in regard to the developer may have improved but unfortunately your response to help requests has slowed down. Over the course of the past year I have had two requests - neither have been answered. I have an urgent request pending and have sent it in twice recently. Please see request posted recently.

Yeah Weebly is the best and all but... seriously the release of new updates seems to be dragged on forever. Do you notice that when you release a entry like this one there is only about 100 comments, but when you release a 'real' update there is more like 200+ comments...

Weebly shou emply like 10 scripters etc. assign then on a goal each week and get them working for like a month or two thats 4-8 new, realy cool updates really soon, instead of having to wait for like 1-2 months, I think the "suggest new feature" section should really get done, get all the top 10 thngs done like ASAP, at this rate it will take a year+.

I think this update might be my problem. On my website, I am encountering some problems with the images I upload. They are small and blurry, not big and acceptably high quality like previously. This "improved loading bar" may not give my images enough time to fully load, so thus they upload to the website editor improperly. I'm not sure if this is the problem, but it can never hurt to be wary.

Anyone else having trouble uploading pictures? I only started having the issue about a week ago, so I doubt it's related to the update, but I am looking for any help I can get. Have sent two support requests in a week, and just sent the third, but no response yet...:o( Really need to update some things on my site but can not.

I do not know much about Weebly, as I have only been a customer for a little over a week - but, as a paying customer, I am VERY disappointed. It took only 10 days for my domain link to become broken and virtually unviewable by the public. And, it is a business domain. Thumbs WAY WAY down to Weebly.
