Weebly infrastructure upgrade

We just completed a major infrastructure upgrade during our maintenance window last Thursday, May 14th, that we've been working on for a few months. What does that mean for you? Not only should you notice that Weebly is much faster since then, but it also means that we'll be able to keep Weebly fun, snappy and responsive well into the future.

From now on, we are also going to be using the weeblystatus feed to post advance notice of any schedule maintenance, so you can plan your editing activities around those times.

We're getting ready to announce some exciting news soon, but I wanted to quickly post in the mean time and keep you up to date on our efforts to continue making Weebly as best as possible for you.

Weel done weebly, I must say I though the servers were very slow for a day or two back then but now they are so much faster, well done.

Not only to improve speed of servers but ease of use for the interface maybe an option for future upgrading. I was thinking, if you could shift click multiple cells in weebly column design then upload one image and it upload to all of the cell selected.

Anyway can't wait to see the new updates soon, and keep up the great work!

Love all the changes so far. You've done a great job with the site. I would like to suggest one item for the future: Signing up for email newsletters and update notifications? That would be a huge plus. I would love to let people know when my site gets updated, rather than trying to find places to post about it. Thanks for all you've done, keep up the good work!

Hello all!
I am very impressed with what weebly has done with the infrastructure lately.
I notised the difference on the "Pages" tab first. It is not half as messy for those of us who have many, or at least several pages on the site. I have always recommended weebly, and will continue to do so!

This is great! But I need help changing my domain to Weebly's new one. I registered it at brinkster.com but can't seem to communicate to them that I need to change it. I don't understand what an A-record is...help please!

weebly has still crashed twice today for about a minute, not a big deal.

when 3 pages' rss feeds are combined into 1 rss feed they still timeout/do not load with the rss app provided by weebly about 25-50% of the time.

My question is : do you guys ever answer an email ? I want to buy a domain name and I sent you two emails without any answers from you. I'm noticing a poor support (I also used the support option btw) feedback from you. So now I just want to know, are you going to help me yes or not ?

Oh and in Safari browser there are slight alignment issues, and footer colour issues.

I was using freewebs before, but this is much better for me....no ads....YES! A custom calendar page would be nice plus a guestbook which could be monitored BEFORE posting.

i dont like how u guys eliminated the audio downloads that were free under 5mb
I logged on my website and my music was missin. U gave NO warning and just changed the crudentials

This is a list of things I really whant next in order:

1:More advanced Membership / Log-in Element

2:Video player capabilites (no adds thoughht)

3:Copy / duplicate pages or sites (moving elements just is not the same)

Keep the great work up, and I really hope the new features are out soon!

I have a 15mb connection and its laggy. At work with 60mb connection, its just as laggy.

I also agree that these changes are definitely for the better. Weebly always had cools stuff though and it's pretty easy to use.

gads...for a second, I thought I had logged into my email with some of the spam in this place....lol

But, this is the first time I've been on Weebly. Very cool offering with being able to create a store. Think I'll start out with creating a blog and poke around a bit more to learn what all Weebly has to offer. Currently I'm at a subscription blog site and the subscription is up soon.....tisk tisk for them :-)
Also, I sell online at a couple of different venues but had been thinking lately it was time to branch out a bit more and start something on my own. I'll check out what you've got!!

I like the basic design of the Weebly store better than Yahoo stores. And the price is way better. With the new speed I'll bet they double the number of users. Regards -

I know you asked me to use a screen capture to show you how slow weebly is, but just imagine this.

1. making any change to the website (font, typo, uploading a pic)
2. the pop up: PUBLISHING SITE comes up
3. standing/sitting there for minutes watching the little blue balls go round "please wait while we publish your site"

its been worse since what ever upgrade you did.

I like most of it though it is a little clumbsy compare to freewebs...

i wud be nice to be able to resize the header and change the default background colors. some other minor stuff as well but, enough 4 now..and thanks for all ur current updates..

Yes, I am having problems uploading a Microsoft Word file. I want it as a download file. I pull down the file in the multimedia, then I click to add file. I select my file from my computer, but it won't work.

Weebly is both eye and brain candy. Every time I log in, I just think "man, this is a good idea..."
Speed improvement is always very welcome (not that it was ever that bad), but, overall, what puts a smile on my face is the possibility of ample customization - if and when I need it.
Or... I can just throw in a couple of images, play with a little CSS and get a great-looking site in like 20 minutes.
That, guys, is just brilliant.

This looks intriguing. I will be looking into this more when I get some more time as I have been looking for some easy to use e-commerce. However, I have to agree with Rod that I have seen challenges in the past with building sites on weebly. Still, it does rank very well in the SERPs and is fairly intuitive.
