I'm excited to announce a new set of features we rolled out recently: much more powerful blogging features, a fresher, cleaner Weebly interface, and a whole bunch of smaller improvements. New Blogging Features First up, we've released an entirely new set of blogging features. Once you're editing your blog, you'll notice a "Manage Blog" button. From here, you can moderate all of the comments for your blog in one fell swoop, and move into the blog settings area, where you can choose to close comments on a blog-wide basis, leave them open, or have them be moderated. Cleaner interface We've also made a significant amount of improvements around the elements interface. The ugly blue boxes that surrounded all elements are now gone, and your site should appear in the editor exactly how it will when published. The blue box surrounding each element that allows you to move the element and delete it now only shows up when hovering over the element. And more!We've added quite a few other requested features, including the ability to open links in a new window, constant improvements to our infrastructure to make Weebly faster, an autoplay option on the Weebly audio element, and many other bug fixes and improvements. Well done! The new blog management is great, I have being testing it out and it works super! okay firstly fantastic site so easy to work with it took me 15 mins to creat what i know call my page,,, i wanted to know if they're is a way of joining weebly user rooms e.g addies and such things,, then i wanted to know is there going to be a chatroom on the site possibly for user to chat share content ect maybe even in room chatrooms so we could have visitors chat in our rooms 04/16/2009 12:04am

I am a teacher and try to keep everything on the site so parents and families far away can see things from the whole year. This new feature helps keep the home page a little cleaner. All the new features are GREAT! Thank you for making Weebly so user friendly and clean enough to use for business purposes. I am still hoping you guys will -hopefully in the near future- enable some for of slide-show photo gallery, or something similar to flash. As a photographer, this is very important because my visitors do not have to click on every image to open the larger photo, or have to scroll down the page to continue to see more images. 04/18/2009 9:41am

Thanks for all the upgrades. I kept getting a glitch when I tried to retroactively post a blog. I was trying to get my blog posts off of tripod and onto weebly but it wasn't letting me set it for a past date, so I had to add to the post to indicate when it was originally posted. 05/13/2009 6:52pm

I have a question for you... I have a blog with blogger and although I love that I can mess with the HTNL to create personalized backgrounds, I am not such a fan of everything being on the same page... So I stumbled across weebly... amazing! But, 2 questions... Is there a way I can have a running blog / link list? This is the best way for me to keep track of my friends blogs, by having a link to theirs on mine. 2nd and more importantly, is there a way I can make it private? My blogger blog is private, which I love, because quite frankly I don't live close to family and want to share stories, pictures, and other things with them, but I don't want to share it with the whole world... and bloging is not something I am willing to pay for... help? 07/29/2009 3:45am
