We recently released a new feature: the ability to add photo galleries to your Weebly sites. You can now easily upload multiple photos at a time, quickly re-arrange them by dragging and dropping them into position, and choose exactly how you want them spaced and arranged.

You can find the new photo gallery under the "Multimedia" category, and we're excited about allowing you to better organize and display your pictures.

We also have been continuously improving the speed and stability of the Weebly editor, and have pushed quite a few minor enhancements and bug fixes.

Weebly is superb. Through it, I have finally got an online presence to showcase my writing. This will help enormously as I try to find an agent for my film scripts and a publisher for my children's stories. also, soon, I'll have samples of some of my song lyrics and complete songs up there for to tempt publishers/performers in! Weebly for President!!!!

Hey guys, great work so far!

2 things that would awesome in the near future:
1. ability to change font type
2. preview before publish option

Also...just a thought...I would be willing to pay extra to be on a different, less crowded, fast server. I know sometimes it gets bogged down because all the sites you are hosting. You might want to see if you can add that to Weebly Pro (it might give us more of an incentive to pay for weebly pro!)...just a thought! :)

Thanks for the feature. Is this using the lightbox app for flickr?? If so would like to see the ability to go to Next and Previous image. Like other implementations i've seen. If i missed the option then could somebody point me in the right direction. many thanks though.

My site has been great thanks to Weebly! We average about 30 views per day, 50 at the most since August, and 180 views at the most ever! Thanks for helping create success in website creation!

Weebly.com ROCKS!!

This has been a terrific liberating experience for me. I had dreaded trying to build a website for years, but knew I really needed one. I tried to build a Joomla site with the help of a web-designer buddy, and it was a total waste of time & money. I couldn't understand or remember how to do any of it without his direct assistance, and it was "supposed" to be "easy".

I can't believe some folks have the nerve to write "weebly Pro" should be free. I feel guilty for not upgrading to it yet. I will "Happily" upgrade as soon as my site begins to generate profits.

The support here has been exceptional too. Yesterday when "editing" the loading & publishing was really slow, I sent a "Help" notice and the weebly crew had it fixed this morning!! That's service.

THANKS again weebly.

Love, love, love all the new features on Weebly! Seems a little less buggy to me now too. Thank goodness.I changed my domain name today to drop the "weebly" part and am ready to shut down my other website and go Weebly all the way, since you guys offer far more features...and for free! Unbelievable. Not sure that I need Premium yet, since I'm not sure what the advantages are. But I'll probably get it eventually anyway just to support the program here. I've never gotten anything this good for free. Telling all my friends about Weebly.

I am a new Weebly lover! After taking over the communications position in my Moms club, I was in charge of our old website. It was so difficult to use, not to mention UGLY, that I started looking for a new place to do a website. And then I found WEEBLY! I had a new site up in 2 hours and it looks great!We are going to upgrade soon to the pro.
Now I'm working on a site for me and my fledgling photo business, I'm so excited!
I love the photo gallery, it's awesome. The only suggestion I have is to make it easier to change the stock photo on the templates and maybe offer more stock photos to choose from( maybe a pro upgrade?).

Hi! err, Hello! i'll try not to take to up too much of your time, but if i was going to suggest a feature, i would say, a community! i KNOW it would take ALOT of work --and may not even be possible!-- but just to throw it out there, having some type of community established would be a lot of fun! nothing special, maybe something as simple as a forum page (if that would be totally NOT simple, i apologize). Just some place besides the blog where users could get together, discuss random topics, and (perhaps most importantly ;-) ) increase traffic to their site!

If i'm just being a stupid little person who has absolutely ZERO knowledge of all the time and effort involved in running a site like this, i apologize for wasting your time. i'm just thinking SOME type of community would be really cool!

I think you should look into the gallery a little more. There is an issue with the code in which if the gallery is shown in Internet Explorer - under certain templates as on the website http://jadebuddhaart.weebly.com, the gallery is not shown properly to the user. It works in Firefox, but it does not work in IE. Can you fix this problem please?

I think the photogallery is a great improvement but i miss the flash layer implemented in the flickr gallery to avoid unauthorized image downloading.

I am very impressed with the ease in creating websites through Weebly. I like the photo gallery feature, but uploading multiple pictures is a pain. I never know the status/progress, virus scanning is annoying, and it frequently freezes in the middle of a batch upload. It would be fantastic if you could design the batch upload in a manner similar to Photobucket.com. As of now, I pay for the Pro version, but still have to host my pictures on a different site.

I would also like the option to have my links open in new tabs/windows. Finally, changing fonts would be great.

Hi.
I am new to weebly. So far, I love it. If it wasn't for this new option (i didn't know it was new) i would have joined as i need to show a gallery of my art work on the web site.
Request/suggestion: would it be possible to upgrade this feature into a slide show? or at least allow users to enlarge any one photo out of the gallery?

I am so glad I found this site. I can't believe how easy it was for me to get my website up and running. You guys have done a wonderful job at simplifying tasks that, under normal circumstances, would take the average person ages to create with regular line-by-line html coding.

Now I can focus more of my energy into doing what I love (i.e. my feather paintings) and less time on the big tedious stuff... like css scripts and web layouts. Oi. lol

I love the photo gallery. It's a great way to display my, and all of my viewers, art work and pictures of them and BFF's. I am young, but i think it's a great way to do things with your spare time. I also think it's a great way to do art, even if it is in front of a computer screen!

This is a great tool to let people know about a rare disorder in my family. I wish there was a way to modify the HTML, and sometimes trying to deal with the fonts, etc is a bit difficult. If I were able to see the HTML, it would be easier to fix.

pics could auto cropped to fit in boxes without white space

captions could be added ( perhaps by editing the little floating labels that appear when you point at them )

I find it tricky to get Header pictures to fit well. It would be cool if once loaded, you could drag them around a bit to frame them up. Other than that I love the site and updates. I love how I can add Youtube & Flickr links. Thanks

hHy guys,

You are providing an excellent service. I created my website on here in a matter of minutes. It is incredibly easy to use and I am a software engineer. :) I love how you can stream your pictures from flickr using a tag.

Few suggestions -
Give the user flexibility of providing a different password for password protected pages. If you get that feature going, I would sign up for the pro account in a heartbeat.
Allow for an ftp functionality. Saves a lot of clicking and uploading if I have lot of files to upload. Since I am using weebly for my photography website, I think it would be nice to be able to upload multiple files using ftp.
Provide detailed stats of web hits for pro accounts.

I also like somebody's suggestion about letting us change the font and maybe the background color of the webpage.
Also about hosting paid accounts on a separate server which makes those sites faster.

I have never tried the weebly blogs. I do have 2 weebly pages, but had never tried the blogs. I guess I need to step up and get started since the weebly pages rank pretty well, so I am assuming that the blog platform will do just as well.

Weebly is my saviour. Really. I've been struggling to create a website for my illustration business but I couldn't find anything other than iweb, which by the way, can only create ONE website project at a time. As I already have a site created with iweb, I was forced to find an alternative.

Anyway, I can't say enough of good things about Weebly. I've already introduced this site to a bunch of my friends. Nice one.

Out of all the free pages on the Net, Weebly's is by far my favorite, Synthasite coming in at 2nd. I have yet to try the blogs, but if it's just as good as the free pages, then sign me up!!
