At about 11pm PST on Mon June 30th, one of the hard-drives on one of our storage systems broke down. This doesn't happen very often, but we're prepared to deal with the situation if it should arise. However, approximately 15 minutes later, another drive failed, causing one of the storage systems to go offline.
We've been dealing closely with the manufacturer of the device to bring it back online. In the meantime, we began restoring the affected sites from backup, as a temporary measure. As a result, some sites were unavailable from 11pm PST on June 30th until approximately 3pm PST, July 1st.
At 3:30pm PST on July 1st, about 30 minutes after we restored service to the affected sites, another hard drive failed on the device. Three failures from brand new, premium hard drives in such a short time-space is absolutely unheard of, but we've replaced the drive and expect to be fully operational by 7:45pm PST.
In the meantime, we've restored interim service to all Pro sites. Dan will be able to handle emergency requests to restore sites -- please email him at dan@weebly.com if you need to have your site restored before 7:45pm.
We're as upset as you are about this monumental failure of hardware, which has been beyond our control. You can rest assured that none of your data has been lost, and we fully expect to restore service to all affected sites by 7:45pm PST.

UPDATE: During the restore process, another drive failed. We anticipate another 6 hours of recovery time for the affected sites due to this set back. If you have any immediate needs, please contact us and we can restore your site ASAP.
We are removing and completely replacing all of the original 15 Seagate hard drives from the affected storage system, and will be following up with the manufacturer with some serious questions.

UPDATE 2: We've re-enabled publishing. If your site isn't coming back, you can fix it by logging in and republishing.

Sorry about your luck. I want to thank you for everything you are doing and all of the improvements that you have made to the site. There is no need to restore our site. We will wait patiently and give you the time you need to fix it. Just came back from being out for the day and my site is still down. Hope you guys get it back up soon. I am missing visitors. I love Weebly and was going to go Pro soon, but need to be reassured these things can and will be taken cared of without any loss to the webpages. Please get my site back up! Please!!! Thank you. thanks folks for touching base...its nice to know that weebly thinks that its clientel are people and not numbers. i, for one, thank you. good luck on the replacement drives, and give thoes that sold you the failing one a big batch of hell. You guys seem to have had a tough time, so I hope you're on top of the problems and can find a way of preventing future similar outages. yes yes yes, TONS of people have said it before me, but it really means a lot when the admins of a site give their users updates on whats going on! when my site crashes, i'm going to want to know why! hello, Now Thursday at 1:40pm GMT. Site still down and only found out when someone who was trying to link to it emailed us. Most embarassing not to know it was down. Perhaps in future an e-mail might be helpful? Will our site be restored soon? I was debating whether to go pro but decided for various reasons to wait for a few weeks. Were pro sites restored as priority? I can't log into my site to re-publish and my site still isn't working, is there something else that I can do or am I doing something wrong, my site is critical for my business and I need to get it up asap so that I can keep things moving. I still can't re-publish. I'd like to start driving traffic to my site via other, scheduled blog posts, but I'm holding off on them. At least this didn't happen the day after I told everyone to visit my site! Whenever I go edit my site, it starts loading and then it's done. It stays grayish and you can't click anything. The top part of it works so once you click back on desgins you can click everything again. The problem is when use back my design the image part goes missing.
