UPDATE: We transitioned over to a new storage device and, after testing and making sure everything works correctly, opened back up at 9:00am EST. If you get a 404 error while visiting your site, logging in and republishing should fix it.

Although having a redundant storage device fail is highly unlikely, we'd still like to apologize for any inconvenience during the period you were unable to log-in and edit your pages. We feel really bad -- though on the upside, we've purchased a better array that should make file access quicker, which should speed up publishing and overall usage.

Our storage server (RAID array) was experiencing some issues earlier that would occasionally cause a 404 error when publishing your site. We're upgrading to a new device (should be completed by the end of the day) -- in the meantime, you can still edit your site, but you can't publish it until we fix the issue. Your site should still be available to the world as normal, without any issues.

If you happened to run into the 404 error and your site is currently unavailable, please email support@weebly.com, and we'll make sure your site gets back up ASAP.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, and working hard to get over to the new storage device as soon as possible (should only be a couple hours left). Thanks for your patience while we deal with this infrastructure issue.

Hi there. Bit of a diferent issue i'm having here. This issue is with the site builder itself. The site builder loads perfect, untill i goto click on a page to edit it from the nav menu. All it does is it goes to a complete black screen, and does not work on editing the page. This is really annoying, and I just started seeing it the last couple days. Thanks,

This is a catastrophic failure not only on the bugs I'm facing, the uncertain delay, but mainly on your reputation. How am I going to trust weebly again, thank god dreamweaver is too complicated for me to handle, but this things have to be done with previous planning to be aware of that. I know there isn't another platform as easy as yours on the market, but being in a situation like this, the least you could to is treat your clients with respect. (could you please change the message that says please check back in one hour, when it had passed more than one hour and its making me aggravated).I'm holding a forum tomorrow with 600 entrepreneurs from all over Colombia, with whom I shared my link to, and now that I have to load the final changes for tomorrow your site is blowing my mind. I cant do anything yet. I know its a beta site but still, it can't crash like this in two days in a row. I just light a candle for you, pray and wish you the Best, hope you can solve this right away.

4am came and went...
8am also passed by.
and right now i am getting a 404 on my site, and a "we will be back at 8am" message when I try to log in.
Any news as to the new ETA?

Eric, I just republished your site, it should be accessible.

Yuval, we just opened Weebly back up at 9am PST, so you should be able to log-in, edit and publish as usual.

Don -- if you received an "Oops" error publishing, you'll need to republish your site to get rid of the 404 error. I've gone ahead and done that for you, so your site should be back up and operational.

Hi,

My problem isn't 404, but the "save" button in the PAGES section, which just isn't working.

Btw, "cancel" works just fine ;)

I used to think that I would like to build a website but did not have the patience or motivation to read all those books and learn all that code.

Having discovered Weebly a few day ago I can see that most of the work and aggravation has been eliminated so I am at it again.

But now I am beginning to have some very serious problems with Weebly as I work with the thing, like having guilt feeling for being able to do all this stuff for nothing.

Hopefully the developers will be at ease to know that I am learning to cope.

Hey there. I appreciate the service. And I don't get too worried when there are glitches.

I cannot sign in to my site to edit it and republish it. When I go to my public web address, it kicks me to the sign in screen. When I sign in, it takes me to my public page, not to where I can edit my page.

The funny thing is, when I got to weebly.com directly and try to sign in, it does not accept my username/password.

Any help for me?

im upload a files in a page hide ( visitor can't show it ) but this fils have a " downloadfile " im copy downloadfile in others pages ,the probleme is if visitors click in downloadfile get a 404 error
please fix this probleme im tired :(

Hi,I just registered a website through Weebly and got a nice picture and a thank you note from you.I am unable to do anything else to edit the site, and get a 404 when I try to contact you.I have just found this little blog corner and see that you are a bit busy with other people like me, and wondered if you could perhaps let me have any other information that might enable me to use my new site.best of luck with your other clients.Dont forget head down and keep punching,

First of all Great Job. Using a CMS with Weebly is now fun to use !

It would be great if you can support in the future international use like change the names used for Contact Form as example, support a slogan below title and support IPhone Blogs like for example:

My current site is not for school, but i have a major presentation due on TKAM that i need to somehow post on the web so my fellow students and my professer can get to it...

I would like to ask a few question:
1) can you tell me what file formats should be used so that it can be download? Why i uploaded a powerpoint and when i click on it to download it, a link pop up and theres nothing in it except a few unreadable symbols?
2) Why the things that i saw is different from the things i publish? for example: the words in my home page should be in the middle, i even double-checked it before i publish it, but still it shows up at the left!
3) why won't the youtube videos work? it only run for a while then directly to the end?
4) why sometimes some of the HMTL that i post won't work? it just stuck there!

Apperantly you haven't gotten all the bugs worked out yet. I'm stilling having problems publishing my site and editing paragraphs. The elements don't always load and half the time I'm getting the "opps, an error as occured..." messagebox all the time.

I just published a new website and changed my DNS settings in Register.com. When I ping my site vacationApartmentInTurkey.com I get a reply and the same IP as weebly.com but I get a 404 error if trying to browse there (http://vacationApartmentInTurkey.com ).
Any ideas?

I started creating my site today and was working just fine!! Its so easy!! I love weebly!! The problem is all of a sudden it was taking for ever to add pictures and setting up pages. I think weebly is an exellent resource and i'm sick of people flaming the weebly staff because they dont understand how to build/use components on their site, "if you dont understand something then view the tutorials and read instructions"... plus weebly is free! they are hosting *your* site using their resources so show *them* some respect!^^.
